Where non-personal information is collected, the Australian Privacy Principles do not apply.

We collect personal information directly from you when you request access to our research, subscribe to a service tier, register to receive our publications, participate in our research panels (including The Circle), or contact us in any way. We may also receive personal information from third parties such as our clients, research partners, and business contacts. Where we collect information about you from a third party, we will inform you as soon as practicable.

3. How we use and disclose information

4. The Circle: research confidentiality

Members of The Circle, our proprietary community of HNW and UHNW individuals, participate in our research under conditions of strict confidentiality. We adhere to the Australian Market and Social Research Society (AMSRS) Code of Professional Behaviour, which requires:

  • Respondent anonymity, unless the respondent has given explicit, informed consent for their identity to be shared
  • Removal of identifying details from research records as soon as they are no longer necessary for the research purpose
  • Secure and separate storage of identifying information
  • Access to identifying information restricted to authorised research personnel for specific research purposes only

Research data, findings, and briefs remain the property of the client who commissioned them and will not be disclosed to third parties without prior, explicit arrangement.

5. How we store and secure information

We take reasonable precautions to protect your personal information from unauthorised access, misuse, loss, or disclosure. This includes appropriately securing our physical facilities and electronic networks. We hold information in a combination of hard copy and secure electronic files, including on secure on-site servers with maintained firewall protection, and on secure off-site backup servers. Server security is managed by a dedicated IT provider that adheres to AMSRS standards for data storage and security.

The security of online transactions and communications sent electronically or by post cannot be guaranteed. Any information you provide to us via the internet or by post is provided at your own risk. We are not responsible for the privacy or security practices of any third party.
